Easy Slouch Hat

Materials: Size N hook, worsted or bulky yarn, scissors.

 Make a magic loop, sc 10 into it and tighten. 

 Rnd 2: 2sc into each sc around (20)

 Rnd 3: sc around (20)

 Rnd 4: 2sc in each sc around (40)

 Rnd 5: sc around (40)

 Rnd 6: sc in first sc, 2sc in next sc around (60)

 Rnds 7-20: sc around. 

 Optional: Work 5 rounds of fpdc, bpdc ribbing. 

 Weave in ends and enjoy!

Morning Coffee Mitts

                   Morning Coffee Mitts

                   Materials: Crochet hook, size 00. Scissors, sock yarn. (Btw, I used Stardust yarn from Red Heart. One ball is easily enough to make a pair.)

                  Pattern: Ch 48, join with a slip stitch in the first chain to join for working in the round.
                  Round 1: Ch 1, sc all chains around. (48 sc)
                  Round 2: Ch 5, skip three sc, sc in next stitch. Continue around. (12 ch5 loops.)
                  Round 3: Ch 1, (sc 4, ch 5, sc 4) into each loop around. Connect with a slip stitch on the first sc of the first loop.
                  Round 4-8: Repeat rnd 3
                  Round 9, Left hand: Work 8 loops, then work 3 dc into last sc of the Shell underneath the 8th shell of this round. Ch 5 and 3 dc into the frst stitch of the next shell worked in round 8.
                  Round 10: Work as for round 3, making sure to make a shell in ch 5 space between dcs.
                  Round 11 (Thumb Round): Left hand: Work 4 shells, in next two shells, work nine sc. Do NOT make the setup chain for either of these loops. Slip stitch into the top sc of shell #7 of round 10. Turn work and ch 9, slip stitch into the first sc of shell #5 of this round. Turn the work again, so now you're back in the same direction you started with. (Sc 4, ch 5, sc 8, ch5, sc4) into ch 9. Finish round 11.
                  Round 12-14:Work normally, as round 3.
                  Round 15: Sc 9 into every loop around. Fasten off and weave in ends. Enjoy!

Ruber

 Materials: Size H crochet hook, scissors, and Vannas's choice yarn, (not exactly sure what the color name is.) Set of 4 #7 DPNs.

*The chains at the beginning of the double crochet rounds do NOT count as a stitch*

 CO 36 and work five rounds of 1x1 ribbing. when you bind off, use the last loop in the yarn to ch1, sc in the first stitch, ch5, skip 3, sc in next stitch. Repeat around.

 Rnd. 2: slip stitch into the next two chains. Sc in the third. ch 5, sc into the third ch of next loop around, slip stitch into the first sc made.

 Transition round 1: slip stitch into next two chains,sc in the third chain. *Ch 1, dc in next sc, ch1, sc in third chain of chain loop. Continue around, working last dc into last slip stitch of round 2. Ch1 and slip into sc in third chain.

 4 & 5: Ch 2, double crochet around.

Transition round 2: Ch2, dc in first stitch. *Ch1, skip one stitch, sc. Ch1, skip one stitch, dc. Continue around.

 7: Ch 5, sc in next dc around.

 Work from round 2-6 two more times, then continue until you are finished with Transition Round 1.

 Thumb hole round: Dc 25, ch 4, skip 4, Dc rest of round.

 Last round: Dc around.

 Weave in the loose ends and have fun!

Tuatha

Materials: 1 pair of size 15 needles, scissors, cable needle, stitch markers (optional) crochet hook/yarn needle for seaming.

Pattern:
  CO 36 stitches.
  Row 1(right side): knit 2, purl 4, knit 4, purl 4, knit 8, purl 4, knit 4, purl 4 knit 2.
  Row 2 and all even rows: knit 2(always work first and last two stitches in garter stitch.), knit 4, p 4, k 4, p 8, k 4, p 4, k4, k2.
  Row 3: Repeat row 1.
  Row 5(cable row): k 2, p 4, C4L, p 4, k 8, p 4, C4L, p 4, k 2.
  Row 7: row 1
  Row 9: row 1
  Row 11: (Cable row II) k 2, p 4, C4L, p 4, C8R, p 4, C4L, p 4, k 2.
  Row 12: row 1

  Repeat these 12 rows to desired length. Seam up back and keep warm!

Soon I will posting a free version of the Afternoon Tea mitts! I really wanted to make another pair, but I accidentaly threw away the pattern i got when it was free. I hope the pattern is close, and i think you will really like it!

Three Twists

This is a hat pattern I thought up when I got some super thick Lion Brand yarn.

  Materials: 4 #10 1/2 DPNs, 6 ply yarn, and scissors.

  Gauge: Not exact. 4x4 is kind of what you should be going for. I had to knit rather tightly on the 10 1/2s just to keep it warm. And the size is meant to be that big, super loose fit.

  Ridge Pattern(worked over 4 stitches): Ssk, P1, YO, P1.

  NOTE-ridge pattern starts on the first four stitches on each needle, the next row is completely knit, then the Ridge Pattern is moved over by one stitch.

    Pattern: CO 20 stitches on each needle (60 stitches), work 5 rounds of K1, P1 ribbing.
     Rnd 6: (These instructions are all the same for each needle, so I'll just tell you what to do on needle #1.)
Work first four stitches in RP, K rest of needle.

    NOTE-Now, on every odd numbered row, you just knit all around.

      Rnd 8: K1, RP, K rest of needle.

     On every Even row, you move over the Ridge Pattern by one stitch.
     Work in this fashion until you have worked 30 rounds, not including the ribbing.

     31: Evenly decrease 6 around. It doesn't matter if they are equal, just try not to decrease over the Ridge Pattern. Use SSKs.
     32 and ALL RP rounds: Move the RP pattern over by one stitch.
     33: Same as 31.

   Keep working like this until you have to decrease into the RP. If it turns into too much of a pain, just knit even for the last couple rounds. Once you are down to the last 6 stitches, work one more rnd and SSK each one. (3 stitches)
  Break off yarn, pull it through the three stitches and fasten, weave in ends.

  This is a hat that is very adaptable. I made it for my dad, but it fits pretty much every adult head. It can be lengthened to a more slouchy fit, too.

  Materials, Red Heart Super Savers in Pumpkin. (Two strands are held together.)Scissors, and a set of four #10 1/2 DPNs.

  CO 20 stitches on each needle, work seven rounds in k2xp1 rib, Knit 20 rounds. If you want a slouchy hat, knit 5-10 more.
 Now, to shape the top,
    21: K 6, K2tog around
    22: K 5, K2tog around
    23: K 4, K2tog around
    24: K 3, K2tog around
    25: K 2, K2tog around
    26: K 1, K2tog around  
    30: K2tog around. Break off yarn, pull through loops and fasten tightly. Weave in ends. Enjoy!

One More Round...

                     One More Round...

    This is a pattern for a wrap bracelet. I hope you enjoy it!
   
  Materials: Sock yarn, No.7 hook, scissors, needle, button of choice.

   Pattern:  Ch 6, join to work in the round.
     Round 1:Ch 2, dc in same stitch and in next five stitches. join with a slip stitch inside of the ch 2.
     Round 2: *Ch2, dc in next 6 dcs, join with slip stitch inside ch 2.
      Continue from * until you have 100 rounds. And just for good luck, work that one extra.

      Now, for the button hole, DON'T break off yarn after last round.
       Ch 8, skip 3 stitches and slip stitch it into the fourth. Turn, sc in each chain and fasten. Break off yarn and weave in the end.
      Button: Use whatever type you like, but I recommend the flat ones. Take a foot long piece of yarn and sew on the button to the other end of the rope, It doesn't matter which 'side' it's on because chances are the rope will twist naturally. Weave in those ends and enjoy!

Palm Readers

 This is my first venture into Fair Isle/Norwegian knitting. I drew up this pattern and made a chart with Tricksy Knitter's chart maker. Have fun!

 Materials: A set of four #8 Dpns, scissors, worsted wight yarn in two colors. (I used Plymouth Yarn's Galway. The red was color 16, I can't remember the other.)

  Pattern: CO 12 stitches on each needle,(36), Knit 1 round in C1 (brown). Work 8 rounds of corrugated ribbing, the knits being in C1, and the purls in C2.
 
   Now, work one repeat of the chart, one chart fits one needle. After the chart, Knit all stitches on the first needle with C1. The next needle makes the thumb hole.

  For this, knit 3, BO 6, K3. Knit the rest of the round.
Knit until the bind-offs, CO 6 over the hole, K3 and knit the rest of the round.
  Knit one more round even, then work six round in corrugated ribbing.
